This is a critical time in our church history, with an exciting opportunity before us.

For years Christ Church Toronto (CCT) has faced volatile rental agreements, having occupied 8 locations and weathered 22 location changes since our church was planted less than 7 years ago. Once again, we find ourselves without a place to worship this summer.

In the midst of this rental volatility, CCT has been given the opportunity to make an offer to purchase the Estonian Baptist Church building. This space meets many of CCT’s needs such as size and location. We believe this building would be a good home for our church.

On Wednesday, May 15th, the Estonian Baptist Church voted to unanimously ACCEPT our Letter of Intent. We feel incredibly encouraged by their decision, and are grateful to God for this outcome.

It is now CCT’s turn to determine whether to take the next step and proceed with a formal offer to purchase the building.

HERE IS HOW YOU CAN HELP

Volunteers will be needed to perform a variety of tasks leading up to this purchase. We are looking for volunteers to help with our Open House on Sunday, June 23 at EBC where we can invite family and friends to see the building and consider pledging. Please reach out to Renee Fu at

volunteer@christchurchtoronto.ca to learn more and get involved.

PRAYER FOR A CHURCH BUILDING

We ask for your continued prayers as we navigate the situation before us. In particular we ask that you consider praying for CCT to:

1

PRAISE GOD

2

REMAIN FOCUSED

3

COMMIT TO GENEROSITY

1. PRAISE GOD: Thank God for both the faithfulness of the Estonian Baptist Church and their gospel partnership in passing along their building and legacy to us.

2. REMAIN FOCUSED: Pray that as a church we would not lose focus of our mission and ministry. Jesus has blessed CCT abundantly without a building, and we have faith that blessing will continue.

3. COMMIT TO GENEROSITY: Prayerfully consider how much you and your family can pledge to give, and seek wisdom from the Lord in this matter.

LET'S PRAY TOGETHER

IN PERSON: EVERY SUNDAY AT 7:30-8:30PM

CCT Church Office - 2017 Danforth Ave., Unit 301

Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, to all the exiles whom I have sent into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon: Build houses and live in them; plant gardens and eat their produce... But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.
